摘要本文简介了英格沃森和贾沃林于2005年出版的信息检索专著“The Turn： Integration of Information Seeking and Retrieval in Context”的中文译著《转折--在情境中集成信息查寻与检索》的主要内容.本书对社会科学导向的信息查寻和系统导向的实验室信息检索领域的最新进展作了严谨、完整的剖析和评述,反映了信息查寻和检索的认知观的进一步发展,提供了一个与情境相关的整体主义认知观.继而以此为出发点,提出了在情境中将信息查寻与信息检索进行有机的集成,并提出了一个全新的集成研究框架,从而从更为宏观的学科高度,深刻地揭示了图书馆人文传统与情报学技术传统由相对隔离走向互动与整合的转折. This paper introduces the main content of the Chinese Edition of “The Turn ： Integration of Information Seeking and Retrieval in Context”, which was published in 2005 and authored by Peter Ingwersen and Kalervo Jǎrvelin. This book completely and precisely reviews the development of Information Seeking and Information Retrieval, reflects a further development of the cognitive viewpoint for information seeking and retrieval by providing a contextual holistic perspective. It proposes Integrating Information Seeking and Retrieval in Context and presents a novelty integrated IS＆R research framework.
