“求放心”说有违百回本《西游记》之大旨

"Ease Theory":a Contradiction to Motif of the 100-Chapter A Journey to the West

明代谢肇淛的那段说《西游记》大旨为"求放心之喻"的文字,因曾被鲁迅引入《中国小说史略》,也就为不少研究者奉为《西游记》的大旨。对"求放心"说进行了分析,认为"求放心"既不属于谢肇淛,又不能代表鲁迅的西游观,它不仅不是《西游记》大旨,而且有违百回本《西游记》之大旨。

The ＂Ease Theory＂ put forward by Xie Zhaozhi, a scholar in the Ming Dynasty on the motif of A Journey to the West, has been regarded as the motif of the novel by many Chinese scholars because it was once cited by the famous man of letters Lu Xun in his A History of Chinese Novels. Analyzing the theory in detail, the author holds that it was not proposed by Xie, nor could it stand for Lu Xun＇s understanding of the novel. In fact, it is in contradiction with the motif of the 100-chapter A Journey to the West, let alone be its motif.
