在中国传统民居中,海草房与北京四合院、陕西窑洞一样,以悠久的历史和丰厚的人文内涵,并肩兀立于祖国的遗产宝库。以石为墙,海草为顶,木质的门窗,敦实的火炕,古朴而厚拙;世纪转身,日月轮回,海草房站立在海边,迎风浪,送日影,依然是旧模样。如今,它就像神奇而美妙的童话世界,正向人们诉说和印证着悠远的历史、厚重的乡情和温暖的记忆。
The Seagrass House is a type of Chinese dwellings in the coast of the eastern Shandong. The kind of house is so called since it is mainly used the natural fiber seagrass. The Seagrass Houses appeared in this region about 2700 years ago, and its architectural technique was inscribed on the first provincial intangible cultural heritage list.
