Combined with project of Xijing garden community in Qingdao, the constitution of external thermal insulation system with EPS board and thin layer plaster is introduced as well as the advantages and disadvantages of this system. Author points out that insulation design in this residential quarter with this system can meet energy-efficiency requirements of buildings, which is worthy of being popularized.
