The immunology of vitiligo has become a hot spot of researches in recent years. These researches mainly focus on the imbalance of epidermal cytokines, regulation of melanocytes by cytokine network, the role of cellular immunity in immune pathogenesis of vitiligo, the molecular and functional bases of antigen recognition by specific T cell receptor, the association of vitiligu occurrence with other autoimmue diseases, effect of apoptosis on the destruction of melanocytes. This paper reviews the advances in the researches related to the immunologic pathogenesis of vitiligo.
