摘要
本文首先对英语外来词的历史进行探源,对其发展过程作了概述,并对其成因进行概述,然后主要分析了数量众多的外来语对英语语言本身的影响,从而得出结论:外来语反映了不同的文化联系,丰富了英语词汇,使英语更加国际化,了解英语外来语的发展过程、成因和来源,有利于加强对英语的理解。
The thesis first of all probes into the origin of English vocabulary with exemplifying words, in the next place expatiates the cause of its formation, and then analyzes the effects that loan words have on the English language. Eventually a natural conclusion comes into being： The loan words reflect cultural links and enrich the English vocabulary so that it has become a more universal language. Furthermore, acquainting yourselves with the origin, development and cause of formation is of great help for English learners to deepen the understanding of the English language.
