Shafting design is an important procedure for the manufacture of mosquito craft. Based on the comparative analysis of the rules of Lloyd＇s Register of Shipping （LR） and the relative technical requirements of American Boat and Yacht Council （ABYC）, the paper discusses some important issues of shafting design for the mosquito craft, such as propeller shaft, diameter, bearing spacing and material, sealing of stern tube etc.
