CFIT Avoidance by Onboard Terrain Information Enhancement

摘要 Air collision and CFIT would be greatly reduced by onboard air - traffic and terrain information enhancement. EGPWS or GCAS is one solution of CFIT avoidance supported by terrain data - base. It is the predictive type system which calculates the threats encountered and gives warning to pilot in early time. Comparing with the conventional GPWS, which is the situation type system,obviously EGPWS or GCAS is more effective than CPWS for CFIT avoidance.
