语义类型与“门”的英译

本文基于利奇的语义类型,结合《红楼梦》的两个译本,考察了中西不同文化背景下"门"的独特涵义,分析了杨与霍对"门"翻译的得失,并提出相应的翻译策略,旨在说明准确理解把握和传达各种意义尤其是文化涵义对翻译工作的重要性和必要性。

Based on Leech＇s types of meaning, this paper explores the specific meanings of＂men＂ （i.e. door） under different cultural backgrounds. With a careful comparison of Yang and Huo＇s English versions of A Dream of Red Mansions, the author aims to emphasize that it is significant and necessary to adequately understand and express different meanings in translation, especially the cultural meanings.
