新闻语篇的评价视角——从评价理论的角度看社论的价值取向

本文以评价理论(Appraisal theory)为基础,以美国《纽约时报》的一篇关于丹麦报纸刊登亵渎伊斯兰精神领袖穆罕默德的漫画的社论为语篇分析素材,分析社论撰稿人的价值取向及其对读者所造成的影响。通过对社论语篇的深入分析,探讨了社论语篇中各个语步所使用的评价资源,并初步总结出了评价者在社论语篇中所搭建的韵律模式,以揭示语篇评价资源的组合和修辞策略的推进与语类结构之间的深层关系。

Drawing on the Appraisal theory and choosing one of the influential editorials in New York Times as data, this paper aims at analyzing the value orientation of the commentator and its impact on the readers, With detailed analysis of the editorial text, this paper investigates how to construct prosodic pattern by means of appraisal resources, and the impact of different appraisal parameters on the construction of different genres so as to prove the applicability of the Appraisal theory in discourse analysis.
