摘要
本文运用Levinson(1996,2003)提出的三个空间参照框架理论,即内在参照框架、相对参照框架和绝对参照框架,结合汉语"面"的词语,对汉语的空间隐喻进行了分析和研究,旨在阐释汉民族运用"面"词语的同时,不仅替代了空间视知觉的转喻性思维,而且还生成了空间隐喻性概念,揭示出人类空间认知模式的普遍性。
This essay applies three frames of reference proposed by Levinson (1996, 2003),that is, intrinsic frame of reference, relative frame of reference and absolute frame of reference, to analyzing and investigating spatial metaphors in Chines phrases containing the word 'mian'(面,or side). It attempts to explain the reasons why ancient Chinese not only substituted for visual-spatial metonymic way of thinking but also generated metaphorical concepts by using these Chinese phrases. Its purpose is to reveal the universality of human spatial cognitive patterns.
