Index traditional newspapers face a new era under the network environment database newspaper of the impact of survival of a great challenge. By seeing this situation, this paper has made analysis and exploration of practical difficulties in traditional paper index. The author believes that traditional newspaper indexing has its survival significance, but they must comply with the pace of reform and achieve existence and development.
