Status of material industry in the national economy of Xinyu nd adjustment of its industrial structure and technical progress have been introduced in this paper. Some constructive suggestions and opinions on the mid-long term developing train of thought, a vast vista, goals and major developing fields at Xinyu have been advanced. These suggestions have present meaning and referenee value to material industry development of Xinyu.
