摘要
"9·11"事件后,美国分别对阿富汗和伊拉克采取了军事行动,在军事上取得了胜利,但是这种胜利并没有使阿富汗和伊拉克走向和平、稳定和发展,反而使美国陷入困境不能自拔。本文试从文化的角度出发,认为美国在阿富汗和伊拉克的困境与美国布什政府对阿富汗和伊拉克文化认识上的错位有着极大的关系。事实证明,不能忽视不同文化在人类文明的发展过程中所具有的无形而且巨大的作用与力量,否则将事与愿违。
After the “September 11”Event, the U.S. took military actions against Afghanistan and lraq; but instead of leading the two countries to peaceful development and stability by its military victory, it got involved in an awkward predicament. Analyzing from cultural perspectives, this article holds that the failure of U.S. policies for its various political and economic reforms in post-war Afghanistan and Iraq can be ascribed, to a great extent, to the cuhural misconceptions of the Bush Administration. The fact shows that neglect of the invisible but tremendous power and effect of different cultures in the evolutionary process of human civilization can only result in undesirable consequences.
