Preliminary Study on Hu Shi's Scientific Thought of Freedom Right

胡适将个人的自由与平等视为人权的核心价值,他对人权的阐述始终围绕如何实现自由与平等。自由的实现离不开独立的思想,因此胡适格外珍视思想言论自由。胡适主张自由、平等的实现主要应当依靠法律手段,通过国家立法和政府积极行政,实行一点一滴的改良。但是胡适忽略了财产权利与思想言论自由权的密切关系。

Hu Shi believed that is the core of human rights. Realization of these functions needs independent thought,so Hu Shi pays attention to Freedom of Speech. Freedom and equality are depended on legal means and government administration. But Hu Shi neglected the relation of property right ethics and freedom of speech.
