考据学派是清代《诗经》学的中坚力量,他们奉行"由小学以得《诗》旨"和"求古与求是"的《诗》学宗旨,在《诗经》语言文字的考释、名物典制的考证上取得了非凡的成就。其中部分学者能以文本之意为最高阐释原则,从而为《诗经》由经学阐释走向文学阐释作出了积极的贡献。

As the main stream of the study of The Book of Songs in Qing Dynasty, the school of textual research on The Book of Songs gained extraordinary achievement in textual research on written language ,names of things ,ancient laws and regulations under the direction of the purpose of the study on The Book of Songs,which were to gain the keynot of The Book of Songs by tradition philosophy and pursuit of truth and antiquity . Among them some scholars could regard purpose of the text as the principle of interpretation at most and gave some contribution to the interpretation of The Book of Songs from scriptural to hterary.
