顺德科举一直以数量多,人才精而名闻远近,究其原因,历代语焉未详。从历代政府部门、民间团体、乡间宗族对科举人士的经济支持和精神奖励入手,分析了顺德科举鼎盛背后从政府到社会至宗族所形成的三位一体的支持结构,以及因此所构成的科举人才产生的物质基础和精神动力。

Imperial examination in ancient Shunde was famous for its large quantity and high quality of attendants. Reasons of the phenomenon were analyzed by studying the spiritual and material supporting construction composed of government, social society, clans and the corresponding material basis and spiritual motivation.
