On the Approaches to Transcending the Realm of Necessity of Human Society——The Development of Social Form as the Process of Natural History

社会形态的发展是自然历史过程的原因,并非如以往所解释的那样──根源于生产力的发展受外在自然的制约,而主要在于生产关系是受内在自然(人的自然)所决定的人的物质需要的满足形式。在生产力高度发展的基础上,人们才能不再被物欲所束缚,摆脱内在自然的支配而获得自由。这样,社会形态的发展也就超越了自然历史过程,迈进自由王国。

The previous understanding of the development of social form was based on the development of productivity controlled by external nature. It is in fact dependent on the process of natural history because the production relation is controlled by the internal nature of mankind for material needs. Based on the high-level productivity, mankind can free himself from the material control and the internal control of human nature. Thus, the development of social form can transcend the process of natural history and enter the realm of freedom.
