摘要
加拿大著名理论评论家诺斯洛普.弗莱的原型批评被认为是20世纪最具国际影响力的文学批评方法之一。原型批评的目标之一就是不仅发现作品的叙述和意象表层之下的原型结构,而且揭示出连接一部作品与另一部作品的原型模式,最终使我们的文学经验成为一体。本文试图从多元文化语境的视角切入,通过文本分析原型批评理论在具体文学作品(美国文学作品)中的运用,探讨文学原素的互融性,消除“中心”与“边缘”之间的绝对对立关系,试提出文学本身无所谓的“边缘”和“中心”,在当今多元发展的时代,各民族文学理应“平等共存”,最终走向“互融”。
Northrop Frye's Archetype Theory is a literature critic of great report in 20^th century. One aim of Archetype Theory is to discover the archetype under the surface of narration and images in works, and the model that connects one work with another so as to combine our literature experience together. From multicultural context point of view, this paper attempts to analyze the application of archetype in concrete works( esp. American literature works)and explores the melting of literature el- ements with the elimination of the absolute opposite relationship between" center" and" margin". In the conclusion, the author tries to point out that there is no so-called" center" and" margin" in literature itself and literature from different nations should coexist and melt into one altogether in this muhicuhural era.
