A Dynamic Comparison on the Competitiveness of NanJing's Manufacture

对南京制造业的偏离—份额分析表明,南京制造业竞争力与江苏省、全国的平均水平相比较低,大多数子行业处于竞争劣势。南京制造业结构较优,但结构差异并不是造成竞争力低下的原因。提高南京制造业竞争力的对策有:提升支柱性行业的竞争力、扶持具有竞争优势的行业,以及区别对待处于竞争劣势的行业。

Using shift-share method to analyze the manufacture of NanJing, this paper finds that the competitiveness of Nanjing＇s manufacture has declined, compared with either the average level of Jiangsu Province or that of China and most sub-industries of Nanjing are not competitive. But the structure of Nanjing＇s manufacture is better than that of Jiangsu and China so that structural difference between them is not the reason for the competitiveness difference. To enhance the competitiveness of NanJing＇s manufacture, three countermeasures have been put forward, namely, to improve competitiveness of backbone industries, to support the industries that have competitive edge, and to make a difference among the industries that have inferior competitiveness.
