历代以"秀"评王维诗者颇多,"秀"要求诗作精警、自然、秀丽。王维诗不仅多有"秀"句,并且诗风也秀丽雅致。这些"秀"句,在意象的选择、色彩的搭配、音响的描摹方面有其独到之处,具有状物精妙、句中有人的特点;其诗风的秀丽,美秀、隐秀兼备,这与诗人的巧妙构思和随意挥写是分不开的。王维诗之"秀"与其人之"秀"互为成就。

Fan Chengda traveled a lot on his way to Guilin, and many attractions, especially Heng Shan, Shigu School, Wu Brook and Yangshan Terrace were recorded in his Can Luan Lu and Nan Zheng Xiao Ji.
