摘要
接口电路是手机用单片集成TFT-LCD驱动芯片的重要组成部分,用于MPU与驱动芯片之间的数据通信。文章详细分析了目前占市场主导的176RGB×220分辨率、26万色的手机液晶显示驱动芯片中接口电路的功能,包括系统接口和外部高速接口的工作原理和动作时序,同时介绍了接口模式之间的转换。在此基础上提出了一种接口电路的设计方案,并且在0.18μm工艺下实现了该电路。仿真结果表明,此电路完全实现了芯片规格中要求的接口功能,可以完成18/16/9/8-bit并行接口、串行接口以及18/16/6-bit外部高速接口的可选择使用。DC综合结果显示,接口电路的面积约为4600多门,可以工作的频率达到12.5MHz。
Interface circuit is a very important part of one-chip TFT-LCD driver IC for mobile phone, which is used for data communications between MPU and the driver IC. In this paper the functions of the interface circuit in the 176 RGB× 220 dot 262 144-color TFT-LCD driver IC are analyzed in detail, including the operating principles and timing of the system interface and the external high-speed interface, and also the transform between different interface modes is discussed. Then, a typical interface circuit is presented and implemented with 0.18 μm CMOS process. The simulation results show that this circuit can complete all functions of interface, and also it is a configurable interface between 18/16/9/ 8-bit parallel interface, serial peripheral interface and 18/16/6-bit external interface. The synthesis re- suits show that the interface area is about 4 600 gates, and the work frequency can achieve 12.5 MHz.
