摘要
认知语言学认为,语言中的词义具有认知和心理基础。文章基于认知语言学理论,分别阐述了词义的范畴化和非范畴化对ESL词汇教学的启示作用,论证了范畴化与非范畴化的互补性和合作性对学生联想认知的提高,从而有效地辅助ESL词汇教学。研究表明,灵活地理解词义的范畴化和非范畴化对ESL词汇教学有较大的促进作用。
In the perspective of cognitive linguists, words have been considered to behave a cognitive and psychological foundation. Based on the cognitive linguistic theories, the revelation of the categorization and decategorization of words on the ESL vocabulary teaching are described in this paper, separately. In addition, the complementarity and cooperation between the categorization and decategorization are validated to be helpful in improving the associative cognition of the vocabulary for students and assisting the ESL vocabulary teaching effectively. The results showed that the flexible comprehension of the categorization and decategorization of words can promote the ESL vocabulary teaching.
