上海"海光图书馆"是1948年初,由上海银行创始人陈光甫,莎士比亚专家林同济博士合作创办,存在仅一年多,因其馆藏大量的西方文化思想著作而独具特色,在中国的图书馆事业发展史上留下了精彩的一页。

Haiguang Library of Shanghai was set up by Mr. Chen Guangfu,initiator of Shanghai Bank and Doc. Lin Tongji, Shakespeare＇ s scholar in commencement of 1948 that existed only for more than one year , but it had the salient features because it had collected many works of the West culture and thought , and leaved fascinating page on the development history of Chinese library cause.
