摘要
报道了一种用于激光束相干合成的大模面积掺镱双包层光纤放大器的实验研究,采用后向抽运的方式,放大器输出功率为1 .61 W,放大后信号光的3 dB线宽为0 .027 nm,并保持了输入信号光的优良光谱特性.从实验上深入研究了在该种放大器中,剩余抽运光功率、前向输出功率、后向输出功率等随抽运功率变化的规律.实验研究的目标是探索相干合成的方法,所设计的输出激光束线宽既保证了足够的相干长度,同时又能有效抑制受激布里渊散射.
Experimental research of a backward-pumped large-mode-area ytterbium-doped double-cladding fiber amplifier was reported for the use of the laser beam coherent combination. The amplifier obtained the highest output power of 1.61 W,with the amplified signal having the 3 dB linewidth of 0. 027 nm at the peak wavelength of 1 058.37 nm,preserving the exceptional spectrum characteristics of the original signal. For the first time,was experimentally investigated the power evolvement of the residual pump beam, the forward beam,the backward beam and et al. in this type of amplifier. The aim of this research was to explore the feasible project of the laser beam coherent combination. The designed linewidth of the laser beam both alleviated the coherent combination and suppressed Stimulated Brillouin Scattering (SBS) effectively.
