The Artistic Features and Poetic Techniques of the Linking Verse between Han Yu and Meng Jiao

在中唐大历两浙联句的影响下,韩愈、孟郊于元和初年进入了一个联句创作的高峰期,创作了包括《城南联句》在内的一批具有气势宏壮、意象奇崛、辞意均敌等艺术特质的联句诗,将联句这一诗体的创作提升到了一个全新的高度。这些成就的取得,又与韩、孟二人在联句时所采取的以赋为诗、统一视点、以我为法等诗学谋略密不可分。

Han Yu and Meng Jiao created a highlight of linking verse in the first year of Yuanhe when it is the middle era of Tang Dynasty. A great many of masterpieces as Cheng nan Lianju were created in this era. These poems are all magnificent and powerful, meaningful and marvelous, rhetorical and magical, which heightened the linking verse to a new degree. These achievements are closely related to the features and techniques used by Meng and Han.
