As a devout Christian and political writer, Heinrich Boell had high opinion of Jesus＇ Sermon on the Mount, advocated philanthropism of primitive Christianity. On the basis of morals and humanism of the primitive Christianity, he attacked the clericalism, utilitarianism and opportunism of Catholic Church, criticized the consistency of German Catholic Church and benefit-seeking capitalist society, and pointed out that the Catholic Church had degenerated to be a religion of the rich and the rulers.
