The nomenclature of traditional Chinese medicine, full of its national characteristics, is brief and to the points, so it is not very easy to be translated into English. In its long translation history, there is appearing a multiple trend in the translation methods. Briefly discussed in the paper are some key methods, features, historical changes and future tends in the English translation of Chinese medicinal nomenclature.
