The site of ancient capital of the Ju State, located in Ju County,Rizhao City, Shandong Province, was an important town in the southeast coastal area of Shandong during the Spring and Autumn （770-476 B.C.） and Warring States （475-221 B.C.） periods. It is also the center of Dongyi （Ancient Eastern Tribes） Culture.
