探索贫困地区职业教育发展之路,发展职业教育,推动经济发展,这是贫困地区的一个重大课题。现实证明,贫困地区职业教育严重落后,职业教育发展任务艰巨,道路曲折,不可能一蹴而就,必然经历一个从局部到整体,从低级到高级的发展过程。贫困地区职业教育发展应分两步走,第一步走重点建设,示范带动,协调发展,特色立校,创立品牌职业学校的路子。第二步走职业教育义务化的路子。贫困地区职业教育协调发展、示范带动,进而实施"普职十一年制义务教育,"这是其职业教育发展的基本出路。

How to develop vocational education to serve local economic development has been a signiticant research topic to impoverished areas. However, the fact is that the vocational education in these areas has been lagging so far behind that it can hardly be promoted in an action. The paper argues that two steps should be taken. The first step is to concentrate on funding several key schools as model and help them to develop their own distinctive education brand. The second step is to make the vocational education compulsory and free to the impoverished students. Only by this can the coordinative development of vocational education in China be realized.
