To Develop Higher Vocational Education in China with Reference to American Community Colleges

美国社区学院是职业教育的重要机构,是培养和培训美国普通劳动力的主要基地。美国社区学院课程目标多样化,以职业教育为导向,课程内容注重针对性和实践性,并且费用较低,为我国发展高等职业教育提供了可供参考的办学经验。

This paper introduces that community college, a major base for cultivating and training work forces with low cost, is one of the important institutes of vocational education in American. The objects of curriculum in community colleges are diversified and job-oriented. The content of the subjects are specific and practical. These experiences all could be followed as references to improve higher vocational education in China.
