摘要
"文化"一词可以被简单地表述为人类生存适应的稳定机制和积累结果,而"旅行"一词则可以被简单地定义为人及其意识在时空之中的非日常移动过程。文化的种种本质属性,决定了它与旅行的无法回避的复杂纽结。而旅行的种种本质属性,则决定了其必然表现为一种文化过程。以此定义重新检讨人类的行旅活动,许多以前为人忽视的层面与意义遂自然而然地浮现了出来,旅行与文化的深层关系同时也在两个概念的重新定义中得到了彰显。
If simply defined, culture means the stable mechanism of human existence and its accumulation while travel means the special movement of human and his consciousness in space and time. The essential attributes of culture determine its inseparable and com- plicated connection with travel while the essential attributes of travel determines that it is a cultural process. With this, a reevaluation of human traveling will reveal new dimensions and significance ignored in the past while the deep relationship between travel and culture will be disclosed.
