少数民族高等教育在推动边疆多民族地区经济社会发展中具有举足轻重的作用。新中国成立以来,云南民族高等教育发展迅速,但由于历史原因及其自身的特殊性和复杂性,发展水平仍相对滞后。民族高校的科学定位,适应性的增强,加快发展民族预科,加强师资队伍建设是民族高等教育发展的重要出路。

Minority higher education plays a key role in promoting the socio - economic development of the minority and border areas of China. Since the founding of the People＇s Republic of China, the minority higher education in Yunnan has developed fairly fast, but com- pared with others its development is not satisfactory due to its history and uniqueness and complicatedness. Its further development relies on its scientific positioning, better adaptation, quick development of pre - college education and qualified teaching staff.
