The Assessment of English Classroom Instruction has an important evaluative function and instructive value to English teaching.Reviewing and reflecting on the current situation of the assessment in English classroom instruction,this paper takes the development of teachers and students as the final goal and highlights the assessment of such contents as students＇ involvements in class activities and teacher-student interaction.Combining quantitative and qualitative assessments,this paper emphasizes the pluralism of assessors and the whole-coursed process of assessment.All of these promises a scientific and effective assessment of the English classroom instruction.
