摘要
轻声是一个多层面因素共同作用的结果，在语音层面上有语音系统的简化、省力律和经济律、语音系统内部的重新平衡、韵律美要求这4个成因；泛化、虚化也为轻声的出现提供了一个在意义上可以依据的平台。此外，类推和他族语言也在轻声发展中起了一定的作用。
The neutral tone is formed as a result of multiple factors, which, phonetically, include simplification, labor -saving or economical orientation, rebalance in the phonetic system and in rhythm. The meaning of words turning general or vague also affords another platform for the emergence of the neutral tone. Furthermore, analogy and other languages also exert influence on the development of the neutral tone.
