摘要
在《索菲的选择》中,斯泰伦把历史的真实和小说的虚构并置,把历史、现实和未来融合在一起。斯泰伦在文学创作中对历史、历史和文学的关系的处置恰与新历史主义方式巧合。但就所搜集的资料来看,迄今为止还没有人对这部作品进行过新历史主义式阅读。试图分析斯泰伦在这部小说中的新历史主义意识。
In the novel, Styron juxtaposes the historical with the fictional and melts history and reality as well as future together. Styron＇ s unique way of dealing with history in fiction and the relationship between history and fiction coincide with that of new historicism. However, insofar as the collected materials are concerned, no one has ever read the novel from the new historicist point of view. Hence, this paper is an attempt to employ Styron＇s new historicist consciousness in Sophie＇s Choice.
