Self and the Other in Chinese and West Cultural Context

总体诗学建构的最大障碍来自于"西方中心论",故消解"西方中心论"就成为总体诗学建构的前提。但是,不同的文化语境中存在着不同的实践偏重。对于西方学界来说,引入他者眼光、跨文明眼光成了重中之重;而对于中国学界来讲,寻求诗学话语的自我身份、形成对非西方文化诗学话语的多元关注,则成为总体诗学寻求的最主要内容。

The biggest obstacle in constructing general poetics lies in “west-centered thought”. Therefore, the disintegration of this thought is the premise of constructing general poetics. Nevertheless, different culture context has different focus in its practice. For the west academic circle, introducing the other is the key issue; while for Chinese academic circle, seeking self-identification is the main content.
