Text analysis and translation are closely interrelated with each other. It is of great significance to have a good command of the knowledge and skills of text analysis and apply the theory to the teaching and research of translation, for it can help us to improve our level and the quality of translation. The focus of translation should be on text and the highest goal of translation is to create textual equivalence. Translators have to try their utmost to convey approximately the real intention of the author and the exact meaning of the source text and produce a smooth, grammatical and logical target text.
