The author explores the first chapter of Laozi based on a fully new perspective. The first "Dan" is the core concept of Laozi, which means the origin and soul, to be more exact, the original law and principle of the world. The second "Dan" is the dynamic of the first "Dan", referring to consciousness, discovery and following. The third one is similar to the first one, but the third is not the core concept. The first two "Chang" is not ever-lasting, but general and ordinary; the last "Chang" also means generality. "Xuan" refers to mystery in general, however, in the book it should be the "subtle" meaning and "negative" law.
