“拨镫”考

Research on Method of Holding Brushes - Bodeng

中国古代书法理论里的“拔镫法”，历来众说纷纭，莫衷一是。从文献中梳理“拨镫法”的发展源流，可知歧义产生的原因。拨镫的镫是镫火之镫，而非马镫之镫。历来论书者多以为马镫之镫，实在是最大的误解。拨镫法有两个意义，最先是运笔法，后来被重释为执笔法。

In calligraphic theory of ancient China, Bodeng, the method of holding brush has many different meanings. The history of Bodeng was investigated from the literature and the reason of ambiguous meanings was analyzed in the paper. The method of Bodeng has two meanings： the way of the writing brush and the method of holding a brush.
