Each form of painting has its relatively stable inner structural elements, which provide the painting with distinct features that differentiate itself from other forms of paintings. This paper gives an analysis of the inner structural elements in Chinese paintings. The significance of these elements is examined in terms of the definition, origin, development and value of Chinese painting.
