郑之侨治邵事迹探论

Exploration of Zhiqiao Zhen's Achievement on Administrating Shaoyang

郑之侨是清代中叶一位出色的地方官。每治一地均以勤政爱民、造福一方为己任。其中在湖南宝庆府(今邵阳)任职达九年之久,为当地文化教育和社会经济发展作出了重要贡献。郑之侨为官邵阳的治绩,在于注重文教,力革弊政,体恤民患,鼓励农耕,推行德治的为政理念和廉洁奉公、勤政实干的作风。

ZhiQiao Zhen was an outstanding local govenment official during the middle Qing Dynasty. He was always assiduous in government affairs and provided good services and brought benefits to the local people during his tenure of office. He once took office in BaoQing fornine years, Hunan Province （Shaoyang nowadays）, where he made a great contribution to the local education and the development of social economy. He made great achievement in his administration in ShaoYang, because he laid stress on culture and education, did his best to change misgovernment, sympathized with people＇s suffering, encouraged fanning, was honest in performing his official duties and assiduous in government affairs and did solid work.
