On Feng Menglong's Ideology of Love & His Attitudes Towards Buddhism——Comments on His Stories to Awaken Men

将情视为天地间一切生命的本源,以情为伦理道德是冯梦龙情教思想的核心。他企图以情为基础构建完美的社会道德体系,却在"三言"中表现出种种背离自己的情教思想本意的言行。文章从《醒世恒言》对佛教既抨击又推崇的矛盾态度进行论述,认为作品对佛教的态度与情教思想相背离,主要是时代与个人因素造成的。

Feng Menglong attempted to establish a perfect social ethical system with love as the social foundation.It is the core of his ideology of love that takes love as the original of life in the world and ethics in the society.However,he deviated from the essence of his ideology of love in many aspects in the Three Common Sayings.This article discusses his contradictory attitudes-both attack on and worship of Buddhism in the Stories to Awaken Men,and points out that such a deviation results from the individual characteristics and is limited by that age.
