佛教的动物权利观主要体现在戒杀、素食与放生三个方面。与其他动物权利思想相比,佛教更多地是从万物皆有佛性和性善论的角度来保护动物权利。但是佛教并不是从动物的利益、价值与感受苦乐的本体论意义上来保护动物权利,而是以为佛教徒获得转生来世善的果报为目的的。

Buddhism＇ s mainly view point of animal rights embodies in three aspects： avoiding killing,being a vegetarian and freeing captive animals, compared with other thoughts of animal rights, Buddhism protects animal rights much more from the perspective of all beings have Buddha and the theory of original goodness of humanity. However, Buddhism doesnt protect animal rights from ontology angle of animal＇s benefit, value and experiencing pleasure or sadness, but on purpose to gain the kind fruit in the future reincarnation world for Buddhist.
