The First Class of Contrastive Rhymes between the Mix of Kai and He in the Hui Dialects

本文利用中古开合分韵的一等韵在徽语中古开合相混、寒桓韵主元音不对等的材料探讨《广韵》分韵而设的原因,认为《切韵》时期原本开合相配、主元音对等的格局发展到了《广韵》,其韵部内部主元音发生了变化,这是u介音同化的结果。

The present paper focuses on the linguistic phenomena about the first -class contrastive rhymes, whose open （Kai） and close （He） are separate in the ancient Chinese but mixed in the Hui dialects, and about the non - identicality of the primary vowels of Hai and Huan rhyme, to inquire why Hai and Huan are in different rhyme in Guangyun. It holds that this is the result of the assimilation of the medical/u/. Because of the assimilation, the contrastive pattern and the identical primary vowels between Kai and He in Qieyun evolve to the different primary vowels in Guangyun.
