On the Method of Teaching "A Sketch of Modern Chinese History"

"中国近现代史纲要"是高等院校新开的一门公共思想政治理论课。教学中应把握:一是把"三个选择"作为教学主线,突出其历史必然性。二是改进教学方法,突出其易接受性。提倡"双向"教学,突出以学生为主体;坚持理论联系实际与以史为鉴相结合;史论结合,以论为主;采用多媒体直观教学等等。

＂A Sketch of Modern Chinese History＂, is an ideological ＆ political course newly offered in China＇s colleges and universities. Its teaching should involve two aspects： one is to take ＂Three Choices＂ as the main teaching line so as to emphasize their historical inevitabilities. The other is to improve teaching methods in order to make the teaching content easily accepted by university students, advocating two - direction method with students as the subject, combining both theory as well as practice and inspecting through history, integrating both history and conclusion by extruding the latter, and using multimedia to aid the teaching.
