钱币学作为一门新兴的学科门类,其学科理论、研究方法还有待进一步完善,研究本体及研究目标内涵的界定还多有含混。钱币是指历史上作为一般等价物使用的,有加工痕迹及固定单位的金属铸币和纸币。钱币学是研究中国历代货币形态,探索钱币演变规律,探讨古代社会经济发展状况的学科。钱币学基础研究理论方法的丰富与完善,需要借鉴考古学、古文字学等相邻学科。

As an emerging subject, the subject of numismatics need to be perfected in its theory and method, and the definition between meaning of object and aim of it still be a confusion sometimes. Money means the universal equivalent used in history, with marks of fabrication and fixed units, including metal coins and paper money. Subject of numismatics study in patterns of money from each danasty of China, quest for the evolving rules and explore the economical state of acient society. The perfection of basical theory and method need reference to related subjects such as archaelolgy and study of acient scripts and so on.
