新世纪的大学生是我国优秀传统文化起关键性作用的传承者、发展和创新者。高校在对他们进行素质教育时,必须注重弘扬我国优秀传统文化,确立爱国主义思想;培养民族正气和气节;做人处事诚信为本;处理人际关系遵循忠恕和仁爱原则;践行"八荣八耻"的社会主义荣辱观,以提高自身的综合素质,做合格的新世纪大学生。

Students of the new century play a crucial role in passing on,developing and innovating Chinese outstanding traditional culture.In terms of university quality education,we must focus on the promotion of chinese excellent traditional culture;we must establish patriotic ideology,foster national honor and integrity;credibility is the foundation of personal behavior;interpersonal relationship should follow the principles of forgiveness and love;we must practice the socialist concept of ＂Eight Honors,Eight Disgraces＂,to improve their comprehensive qualities and to become qualified students in the new century.
