钱穆先生论孔子与《尚书》之关系

Mr.Qian Mu's View on the Relation Between Confucius and The Book of Documents(Shang Shu)

学术史上孔子与《尚书》的关系争论超过2000年,至今难有定论。争论的焦点,即在孔子是否删《书》以及是编《书》还是作《书》等方面;在孔子以《书》教授弟子方面,则似乎取得一致意见。于前者,钱穆先生以为孔子不曾删《书》,不曾整理过《书;》于后者,钱穆先生之意见看似自相矛盾,实则与前人看法一致。

The controversy in the academic circle over the relation between Confucius and The Book ofDocuments（Shang Shu） has been lasting over 2000 years. As yet, no consensus has been reached. Whether Confucius has deleted or compiled or rewritten The Book of Documents has become the focus of the controversy while almost everyone agrees on the fact that it has been taught as one of his text books to his disciples by Confucius. As to the former, Mr. Qian Mu deduced from the historical texts that Confucius had not deleted or rearranged The Book of Documents, as regards the later, his opinion seems self-contradictory but in fact has no difference from that of the others＇.
