摘要
介绍了１９７０～２０００年世界纤维的需求，特别是日本国内纤维的需求。通过对化学纤维生产技术发展的回顾并讨论化学纤维再利用的问题，指出化学纤维必将与产业领域相互协作、扩大、发展。２１世纪的纤维、纤维科学将致力于发展尖端超级纤维，适应地球环境的生态材料，追求人类舒适性的纤维材料以及自然协调的天然材料等，并在产业发展中起重大的作用。
The fiber demand in the world, especially in Japan from 1970 to 2000 was introduced. By reviewing the development of the production technology of chemical fiber and discussion of recycling of chemical fiber, the article pointed out that the chemical fiber must be cooperated and developed with industrial field. In the 21st century, the development of super fiber, ecological fiber materials for the earth environment, amenity fiber materials for human comfort and natural mimetic fiber materials for harmony wity nature would be the main project of fiber science and will be of great importance in the industral development.
